There are so many things our children can play with these days. So many expensive toys they will probably get tired of one week after you purchase it! Really…

You often hear people say they had so much fun playing in the dirt when they were kids, or that they didn’t need much more than a string and a piece of paper to stay busy for hours. That’s still applicable: our children can have fun with simple but clever activities! Fortunately, if you’re trying to save a little cash while still keeping the kiddos happy, DIY projects have become very popular and we have the perfect one for you! How about making your own non-toxic play goo? This one is a hit! EVERY TIME! Make it in no time and the kids will play for hours…plus, you have peace of mind knowing the ingredients that went into it.

So let’s get down to business.

You will need:

  • 1 16oz box of cornstarch
  • ¼ cup of basil seeds
  • Food colouring (any colour, as much as you want)
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • A spoon and a mixing bowl

What to do:

Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add water and stir well. Let the seeds soak up the water for a few minutes.
Keep in the refrigerator in a plastic container.
