Spring is finally here, which means the start of beautiful sunny days and higher temperatures. But, the beginning of spring also signals the start of the rainy season. So, to help you prepare for those April-shower-filled days, I’ve got a fantastic budget-friendly way to keep your kids busy… The Doodle Post!
A friend recommended this subscription craft box, so I knew I had to check it out.
The Doodle Post is a mail order craft subscription for kids, started by an art-loving Mom of two. Kits include items such as patterned papers, beads, wooden elements, cardstock, paints, stamps and more. There’s a focus on quality, using local suppliers whenever possible, while keeping the price point amazingly budget-friendly.
I contacted the company and the owner, Erin, was kind enough to send two kits for us to try out.
The first contained a full set of mini letter stamps, a fabric ink stamp pad, Q-tips, two muslin bags and heart stencils to create our very own personalized Valentine’s Day treat bags.
My daughter, especially, loved this craft and helped her little brother personalize his bag.
The next kit came at the perfect time. The snow was just starting to melt and we were itching for spring. It arrived in the form of a pretty DIY flower wreath…
To me, The Doodle Post is the Etsy of craft boxes – the projects are original, incorporate a lot of natural materials and have an heirloom quality to them. What’s more, they give back! A portion of their proceeds goes to kits for kids in need and other art programs for Canadian youth.
If you’re looking for something to excite and delight your kids every month – or as the perfect birthday gift – I highly recommend The Doodle Post. Every kid loves getting “snail mail”, right? For around $13/month ($10 + shipping), it’s the perfect way to inspire their creativity.
The Doodle Post is generously giving away one (1) three-month subscription to a lucky CMR fan! Many thanks to The Doodle Post for sponsoring this prize, valued at approximately $40. Enter below for your chance to win.
