It’s the season of “where’s your hat? Where are your gloves?” How many times have your kids arrived home from school without the hats, gloves, scarves, maybe even boots you sent them to school with?
I’m done buying brand-name winter accessories. Ben’s gone through two H&M and GAP hats already this year. The GAP hat made its way home but, as of today, it’s gone again. Who knows if it will find its way back home. They’re like outdoor cats that disappear for a couple of days. You know they’re happiest outdoors, and you hope they find their way back home but you never entirely know if they will.
Thankfully, we have two dollar stores by our home. I’ve been in there a couple of times this week stocking up on new hats, gloves, scarves, and even lunch bags. Even though I put his name on everything, losing something has become expected. I need to make a trip to the school’s lost and found. Hopefully, not everything is lost forever!
How many times have your kids lost their winter gear so far this winter? And what do you do to prevent it from happening every day?
