  1. Post a picture of your child dressed in a costume, on one of our social media pages (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram)
  2. Tag us in your post – @MomResourceCA on Twitter/Instagram or @CanadianMotherResource on Facebook)
  3. Add the hashtag #CMRhalloween to your post

Rules and Regulations

The odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible participants who upload an image of their child in a costume, tag us in their post and include the #CMRhalloween hashtag during the Contest Period. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not redeemable for cash or credit, transferable or substitutable except in The CMR’s sole discretion. The CMR reserves the right to award a substitute prize or portion thereof of equal or greater value in its sole discretion. The refusal by an entrant to accept a prize releases and forever discharges Heritage and its agents of all obligations related to the prize, including delivery.

Prize Awarding: One (1) winner will be randomly selected from all entries received. A random generator will be used to select entrant. Selected entrant will be notified by replying to their entry on the social media platform where they entered. Selected entrant will be required to fill out a declaration and release form, including answering a skill-testing question, within 24 hours of the end of the Contest Period.

Prize will be awarded only on verification by the CMR that all contest requirements have been met by a selected entrant. To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must (1) complete the declaration and release form emailed by The Canadian Mother Resource within 24 hours of receipt ; and (2) answer, without help (mechanical or otherwise), a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question. By completing, signing and returning the declaration and release form, the entrant (i) confirms compliance with these official rules, (ii) release and forever discharges the CMR, its affiliates and subsidiaries from all claims, demands, damages, actions and causes of action arising or to arise by reason of the acceptance or use of the prize, and (iii) gives permission to the CMR at its option, to publish or otherwise use the entrant’s name, social media name/handle, profile picture, city of residence and comments, without notice or compensation, on the the CMR website as well as in any publicity or promotion carried out by the CMR or its advertising agencies.

If a selected entrant or winner in the contest cannot be reached, does not answer the mathematical skill-testing question correctly, declines the prize, or fails to return the declaration and release form as specified above, another entry will be randomly selected by the CMR. The process outlined above will be continued until the applicable prize is awarded or there are no more eligible entrants. The CMR is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify a selected entrant or winner. All decisions of the CMR in the contest are final, and entrants agree to abide and be bound by the official rules, the social media platform’s Terms of Service and Rules, and all of the instructions and decisions of the CMR. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of the official rules or any decision rendered by The CMR, the decision or interpretation of The CMR shall prevail. The CMR in its sole discretion reserves the right to disqualify any person it finds to be in violation of the official rules, the social media platform’s Terms of Service or Rules. The CMR is not responsible if any entrant’s account is suspended by Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for violation of their Terms of Service or Rules.

Prize Disclaimer: The CMR is the sponsor of this contest and is solely responsible for the delivery of the prize to the confirmed winner, as declared by the CMR. By participating in the contest, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the CMR and its employees, prize suppliers, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, from all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

General: By participating in the contest, participants release and agree to hold harmless the CMR, the co-hosts, prize suppliers and, as applicable, their respective parent companies, affiliates or related companies, directors, employees, officers and agents, including without limitation, their advertising/promotion agencies from any and all liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind, including but not limited to personal injury or death, arising from or in connection with participation in the contest, or the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize and/or with respect to participation in any prize-related activity. Entrants agree to abide by these official rules, and decisions of the CMR, which are final in all matters relating to this contest. The contest subject to all Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. The contest is not administered, endorsed, associated, nor sponsored by Twitter or any other social media platform. Entrants are providing their information to Heritage and not to Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are hereby released of any liability by each participant in this contest.
