As a busy Mom of two, it often seems as if there aren’t enough hours in the day to get all the errands done on my “to-do” list. Every other parent I know has felt the same at one point or another, and it happens most often when trying to juggle multiple kids.
Angela Goertzen knows this scenario all too well. As a homeschooling Mama of three kids, she saw the need for a baby and toddler store that offers more… one that helps parents check a few more things off of their errand list in one convenient place. The result is her boutique in Rossland, British Columbia called Delicious Baby and Toddler.
I was intrigued when I first stumbled upon her website because she offers a really innovative and fun mix of products under one roof. Delicious not only satisfies the needs of new parents, but also caters to parents of older children as well – with a twist. This doesn’t mean simply carrying clothes in bigger sizes (which she does), but also games, books, party supplies and birthday gift items for the older set. The idea is that when you’re at Delicious to pick up those much-needed baby supplies – earth-friendly sunscreens, organic teethers, cloth diapers, feeding gear and baby carriers – you can cross a few other things off your list at the same time, such as kids’ gifts, loot bags and helium balloons (if you’re planning a party of your own)! She even carries a wide assortment of Jelly Belly and Wonka brand candy… definitely something for everyone!
Angela works hard to ensure her product mix is nothing short of inspired, with fabulous brands such as Hatley, Westcoast Baby and Sweet Peanut clothing; Jack & Lily and Stonz footwear; Skip Hop, Goodbyn, Baby Cubes, Snack-Trap and Pura Kiki feeding gear; FuzziBunz, BumGenius and Bummis cloth diapers; and a wide assortment of high-quality skin care and bath products from Boon, GAIA, Rocky Mountain Soap, Skip Hop, 3 Sprouts, Healthy Times and more. There’s also a product called Baby Magic that Angela swears by – it is one of her favourite multi purpose lotions. It’s not greasy, does not have a strong smell, and it works for everything (it’s also all-natural and organic).
And those gift items I mentioned before are fantastic toys and activities from Melissa & Doug, games from GameWright (such as this cool one) and Professor Noggins, activity kits from Klutz, as well as Lego, a huge assortment of books and Groovy Girls dolls, to name a few. I love that she takes care to stock unique items that are both educational and fun.
If there’s something you need, chances are Angela carries it! From cute Halloween costumes and loot bag items (I adore the Suncoat Kids manicure set!) to maternity and post-natal items like Lily Padz and BellaBands, Delicious Baby and Toddler does a great job of providing one-stop-shopping for all their children’s needs.
