Around 1987, Baby & Me Fitness was among the first to jump on the baby/mommy fitness craze, even introducing strollerfit before there were jogging strollers (picnic tables are used for push-ups, leg lifts, abdominal work and stretches.) Women tend to return to these classes after second and third pregnancies. Faves include Yoga Babies, Pilates Babies and Aqua Babies. There is usually a lively discussion at the end of each class on everything from organic baby food to the perils of potty training. Often, moms bring up their own concerns to the group, like “how do I know if my baby is eating enough? And, of course, the “how do I get the stinky, goopy stuff out of my baby’s neck?” question.
