With a product lineup that reads like a who’s who of the most coveted brands, and amazing customer service to match, Edmonton’s Amy Lou Boutique is the destination for shower gifts, custom furniture, maternity and children’s couture from newborn to size 12.

Whether you’re shopping for a gift or for yourself, Owners Amanda Olivari and Laura Norby love creating connections with their customers, so that they feel at ease, making each shopping experience an enjoyable one. As mothers, they’ve personally tried almost every product they carry and can attest to their quality. Amy Lou Boutique strives to provide unparalleled customer service, so if you have a question, you won’t be running around the store looking for someone to answer it!

The majority of the brands you’ll find at Amy Lou are either unique and exclusive to their store, or they were the first store in Edmonton (sometimes even Canada) to carry them. Amanda and Laura work hard to stock cool, funky lines that no one else has seen before like Mini Shatsu – a modern, quirky boys’ line that’s an Edmonton exclusive; Baby Bintz soother clips – available in styles from $12 (simple) to $50 (custom); Le BeBe Coo bath products; and a boys and girls line called Mayoral, to name a few.  Cute, locally made lines of jewelry and hair clip boards are big hits with their clientele, as are Planet Wise reusable fabric bags, Little Mass TuTu dresses, Trumpette socks, Cate + Levi recycled fabric hand puppets (each is one-of-a-kind!), and BenBat Travel Friends. They also carry items for Mom – maternity clothes, nursing canopies… and so much more!

Their clients love them for their great selection and customer service, but they don’t rest on their laurels. They take great pride in their connection to the city and help out when they can. Last year they were honoured to give back to the community when they held a Christmas toy drive for The Ronald McDonald House. It was a labour of love for a special place close to their hearts, as Laura’s brother and sister-in-law lived there while her niece had a heart transplant at 7 months of age.

Providing unique and informative events for their clients is yet another way of giving back to their community. On occasion, they’ve hosted prenatal yoga sessions and “Couples Bump Camp” by Urban Chickadee at the store, as well as Modern Mama’s Babysitter events on the south side. Amy Lou is chock full of amazing Mom and baby finds for any occasion. If you’re not in the Edmonton area, you can view many of the lines they carry on their website. They are experts at choosing age-appropriate items for all budgets and, in keeping with their top-notch customer service, are always happy to assist with custom gift orders over the phone. Be sure to like their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter for the latest information on new products and store events. So, what are you waiting for? Get shopping!! 😉
